What We Believe

Our Mission:

The mission of Hope United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the World.

Matthew 28:18-20 (The Great Commission)

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Our Vision:

Connect - Share - Grow

CONNECT -

We embrace the example of Jesus to meet people where they are. Jesus teaches us to connect. Connecting builds relationships and it is through relationships that God works. For this reason we reach out to connect with people in all the ways God presents.

SHARE -

Recognizing our own imperfections, we believe God sees value when we share our lives and gifts with others. We believe that God works through his people and the act of sharing is the most fundamental work we can do. Through worship, study, fellowship, and service, we seek to reach out in positive and nurturing ways. The gifts God has entrusted to us are to be shared.

GROW -

Faith is a lifelong journey of growth. We believe there are many stages and many paths for growth to occur. Our aim is to cultivate a rich environment for growth to take root. From meeting in small groups, to gathering for worship as one body; we desire to grow closer and deeper in our relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Acts 2:41-42, 46-47

Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and prayer. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.
